Showing your own home is not as difffciult as “professionals” want you to believe. As a matter of fact, this is the only way to ensure you can get your home’s message across properly.
At Help-U-Sell, and a few other companies, home sellers are given the choice to show their own home- or not. Many “professionals” will tell you that if you’re not a salesperson, this may be a bad idea. My response quite simply is that buyers love to buy, and they hate to be sold. Show them the home, then call me if they are interested.
The upside? Save thousands. Keep the money. Go to Hawaii. Spend it on kids education. Get a new kitchen in your new home.
Downside? 20 minutes per showing of your time.
Advice? Show them the home, and don’t make it a canned presentation.
