As mentioned in previous posts, sellers crave feedback from buyers. Buyers and agents however don’t have the motivation to respond. If I were a home seller, and if buyer or agent feedback were important to me, I would simply ask every buyer who came through my home, “I am committed to selling this home. Can you give me some feedback about your interest level?” If the buyer seems reluctant, say, “My agent will be calling you, would you be so kind to tell them what you liked or did not like about my house?”
With that said, the value and lag time in getting the feedback might be circumvented by hiring an agent who understands current market conditions, and can point out in advance what the feedback is going to be, both positive and negative.
